The Eighth Annual Conference on the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of WaterThe Eighth Annual Conference on the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of Water was held this year from October 22-25th 2013 in Bulgaria, near Sofia
The annual meetings on water science have mushroomed into something truly exciting, and we invite you to attend the forthcoming conference this autumn.
Some conferees have told us that these meetings are THE most interesting of all scientific meetings they've been a part of because of the informal atmosphere, the colorful venue, and the ground-breaking experimental results that are continually presented. Some refer to it as the place to learn about "the secret life of water."
This year's meeting took place in Bulgaria. The meeting dates are October 22-25th 2013.The conference will be held at Hotel Samokov (http://samokov.com/), located in a picturesque setting.

Global Science Academy's 2nd National Seminar on Water & Sanitation in Relation to Public HealthWater and sanitation provide the foundation for health and are essential in the community’s long term development. 80% of sickness in the world is due to water and poor sanitation. In the past few decades, medical views of water borne diseases stressed curative rather than preventive aspects and saw social and environmental conditions as merely contributory factors to the spread of disease bearing pathogens. After the year 1999 when the Global Science Academy (GSA) had organized it's 1st National Seminar on Water and Sanitation in Relation to Public Health, the pace of progress is still unsatisfactory with respect to preventive measures of the pollution of air, land and water as well as the lack of basic water and sanitation facilities. Global Science Academy (GSA) is contributing to one of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)- “ensuring environmental sustainability” and doing it's best to help in re-framing development agenda beyond 2015 and keeping the issue of ‘environmental sustainability’ on top of the agenda.
The purpose of the seminar is to bring together participation from a wide variety of interests to explore the possibilities to solve important water related problems and to create a forum for discussion and, hopefully, a consensus on how scientific principles and awareness can be combined in order to create conditions for real breakthrough in present disastrous situations in the sanitation and drainage sector. It is also aiming to widely disseminate the recommendations of the Seminar for fruitful and meaningful implementation of programmes to cope with the problem.
The event will be organized on World Water Day - March 22nd 2014 & March 23rd, 2014, and be held in Dharamshala, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh (HP), India.
