Upcoming Conferences
The Sixth Annual Water Conference will be held this year from October 20th through October 23rd, 2011.
The annual meetings on water science have mushroomed into something truly exciting, and we invite you to attend the forthcoming conference this autumn.
Once again, Nobel laureate Luc Montagnier will present his stunning results on creation of DNA in water, and others from all corners of the world will present their latest. Some conferees have told us that these meetings are THE most interesting of all scientific meetings they've been a part of, because of the informal atmosphere, the colorful venue, and the ground-breaking experimental results that are continually presented. Some refer to it as the place to learn about "the secret life of water."
This year's meeting will take place again at the Mt. Snow resort in southern Vermont. Fall colors can be glorious. The meeting dates are October 20 - 23 (Thursday through Sunday), 2011. It's officially known as the "Sixth Annual Conference on the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of Water," and all of those subjects will be included. Please visit the website of our journal, WATER, to see pictures and activities from the 2009 meeting: http://www.waterjournal.org/volume-2-index/60-supplement-1
All information, including registration forms and this year's speaker list with tentative talk titles, are available at: http://www.watercon.org/index2.html

The first International Conference on Water and Society, December 5-7, 2011, Las Vegas, Nevada.
This first International Conference on Water and Society aims to provide a multi-disciplinary forum for the presentation and discussion of many issues affecting water resources today. The meeting will encourage trans-disciplinary communication on issues related to the nature of water, and its use and exploitation by society. The conference is motivated by the need to bridge the gap between the broad spectrum of social sciences and humanistic disciplines and specialists in physical sciences, biology, environmental sciences, health and others.
Contributions are invited on a wide range of topics including water as a human right, changing climates, water resources, irrigation, desertification, sanitation and health, and transnational water rights. Contact Irene Moreno Millan at imoreno@wessex.ac.uk
